As an alternative you can also use accommodation and holiday websites. These sites operate independently and offer a range of hotel booking services some of which may come with a discount. Here you make the booking through the site - you may be asked to pay in advance for your hotel booking in some cases and in others you may simply pay at the end of your stay.
