Several companies offer Bali Cruises, guided climbing and trekking tours and then you can also go to the Bali Bird Park and Bali Safari and Marine Park to see the amazing flora and fauna that inhibits Bali. Some of the native plants and animals that you will see are just amazing.

Shopping in Bali is always popular with many tourists and the best part is you get to bargain with the locals. Bargaining when shopping is expected and it can be a lot of fun when you’re in the markets. Most of the specialty shops are grouped together so whatever you’re looking for is not going to be too far away if one store doesn’t have it in your colour.

Drugs in Bali

There is no tolerance to Drugs in Bali. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER taking, buying or using drugs in Bali.

Courts in Indonesia hand out death sentences for drug dealing/drug trafficking and a maximum of 15 years for drug use. These laws have tightened to stop people getting caught with drugs and declaring that they are an addict just to get shorter sentences.

  • An Australian model was caught with two ecstasy pills in 2005 and served 3 months.
  • An Australian Union official served 5 months for being caught smuggling in 1.7 grams of marijuana in 2009.
  • Schapelle Corby is doing 20 years for being convicted of smuggling 4.4 kilograms of cannabis in 2004.
  • The “Bali Nine” who got caught smuggling heroin are facing 6 life terms and 3 death sentences.

There are many other cases to highlight where people have been caught with as little as 5 grams of hashish and had to serve 8 months.

There is nothing to think about here!!!
